For their NCTA booth, Viacom asked us to do the following – because they had not scheduled talent to hook passersby, they wanted a hot new experience that could attract a crowd. Thus was born the YOU=MTV interactive kiosk.

Our client challenged us with a very low budget. This made for an opportunity to design a great kiosk with simple resources — an easily-understood UI using off-the-shelf code, and upon this code place a social media layer. Complementing the resulting prototype was the visual design — simple color scheme and forms with the MTV logo front and center.
Over four easy steps, visitors to the booth could step 1 place themselves inside the MTV logo and step 2 take a photo. They could step 3 email their photo and step 4 share it on Facebook and Twitter. Four quick and easy steps to keep the line of people moving.
